Hey good afternoon, I got a 03 350z and yesterday the engine started smoking and a weird smell starting coming. but my engine is not overheating.. I dont know what the problem is..

 

Did it throw a CEL? Can you pull the codes? Miles? Mods? Recent work? We don't know what the problem is either until you actually take some time to write up a more detailed problem description.

It's like going a doctor and only telling him, "Something hurts. Can you fix it?"

Open your hood and start looking around. Do you see and liquid anywhere? Is there anything dripping onto the ground? What are your fluid levels when the engine is cool? (Coolant, oil, power steering fluid).

Look for a fog machine that activates when you turn your blinker on. Previous owner played a practical joke on you.

OP, in order for anyone to even BEGIN speculating the problem, you need to be more specific since no one is there to actually put hands on the issue.

Like....

Smoking? Where? From the engine compartment? From the exhaust? Somewhere else?

What color is the smoke? White, blue, chartreuse? Does it come and go? Is it dependent upon engine speed?

Smells like? Is it a burning smell? Is it sweet smelling or foul like gas/oil, etc?

Without this type of detail, all you're gonna get (as you've seen ) are SA answers.
