Nissan 350z 03 Window Issues
I've re-posted this topic here as the window sticky thread seems to be glitched out, not showing my post????
I’ve read over quite a lot of information, but nothing seemed to fit 100% my experiences, so I’d figure I’d ask before I went and bought a new window motor.
My passenger side window when attempting to close the door will not slip down the 10mm, causing it to not shut properly. The top of the window will actually make contact with the A pillar, and if shut hard enough seemingly could do damage to the window or paint on the A pillar.
It does seem however that if I go into my car I am able to lower and raise the window via the passenger window up/down switch. There has been a few occasions where it wouldn’t respond, but it seems to work.
I’m trying to back track in my head the series of events to when this started to occur (1 month ago I believe). A new battery was installed a few weeks prior, but I don’t remember the issues popping up directly afterwards. The only material change I can recall is record low temperatures of around 7 degrees.
Is there something low touch I can try, or is this sounding like another window motor going bad?
If the prescription is to replace the motor what is the best option now (seems like there was a lot of back and forth dorman vs oem etc.)
