Default why does my car pull to the right????

i have the touring 2003 autmatic and it pulls pretty hard to the right and it only happens sometimes. It only has 3500 miles on it. How do i get it fixed? Is it a common problem? and is the repair covered under warranty or is it due for a wheel alignment? I really need HELP please. Thnx

It is a common problem and the dealer will know about it. There is a TSB on the problem. They replace two components and do an alignment I believe.

Mine had an alignment and now pulls to the right. The dealer said that I now qualify for the TSB work. As it is in storage, I have been waiting out the 'impending tire feathering fix' from Nissan before gettnig any further work done.

Here is a copy of the TSB for the pulling to the right:

ntb03046
IF YOU CONFIRM: The vehicle has a tendency for a constant drift to the right on a straight, flat road at highway speeds. NOTE: A vehicle is said to drift, if the vehicle completes a lane change in less than 7 seconds and with no steering correction from the driver and when driving at 60 mph and all four wheels must pass into the other lane during this time (7 seconds) and while driving on a crown-sloped road of less than 1 percent. ACTIONS: Install the right front suspension compression rod from the Parts Information section of this bulletin. See this bulletin for further details.

Below is a pic of the part they will change to supposedly fix it. Make sure they do a full four wheel alignment afterward. This should be done free of charge.

Nah, I've just been here a long time.

It's kind of like that line in "Groundhog Day" when Bill Murray says something like, "Maybe God isn't really all knowing, it's just that He's been here so long it just seems He is"

my '03 touring had that TSB performed and it made no difference whatsoever.

Did you get a FOUR WHEEL alignment afterward?

I got the TSB and the alignment and while it still pulls slightly to the right, it now takes like 12-15 seconds to make the lane change instead of the 5 seconds it took before.

I also got the tire swap TSB for feathering (actually for "tire roar") and it stopped that as well. I have had about 4k miles on it since then and no feathering yet but it is still kind of early.

I think the pulling to the right is still covered. It is the tire feathering TSB that is up at a year. Although, I have heard of owners pushing for it and still getting it after a year.

Those who have this problem (I do), is your steering wheel off center while driving to keep your car straight. The "Z" in the center of the steering wheel has the top pointing to 10 o'clock when I drive. Car pulls hard to the right if the "Z" is straight. I had the compression rod install, but I don't believe the car was aligned. Maybe they will align it tomorrow. 7 visits to the dealer in 8 months. Already more than my last car, which I had for 2.5 years. Ugh!

Has anybody had this issue resolved and if so...how?

Got my car back from the dealer today. The repair invoice says...
"steering wheel aligned to factory specs. No repairs at this time". I have to drive with the freaking Z almost sideways. What the F?
