Default Fuel hose

Hey all, been a while since I've posted or even been here. I'm working on my nephew's '04 g35, had a coolant leak which was due to a loose engine drain plug, but I didn't discover until I had already taken off the valve covers and timing cover. Put everything back together, tried to start it, it cranks but won't turn over. The car ran perfectly fine before disassembly, so I figured the fuel pump is not sending enough pressure. Before servicing the pump, I wanted to test the fuel pressure and that's when I noticed the fuel hose to the damper didn't seem to be the correct size. I couldn't even pull it off, had to cut it with a knife. Apparently, whoever had this car before must've changed the fuel hose to one with the exact same diameter of the inlet for the fuel dampener, and somehow forced it onto the all the way to the last barb and didn't even have a clamp for it. I haven't measured the hose but aren't they supposed to be 5/16" inside diameter? This one looks like 3/8" if even that. Since G35 have the same vq engine, i doubt anything should be different in the design. My Z's hose is even bigger than this one and fits fine on the inlet. Any prompt responses will be greatly appreciated as I'm going to look more into this overnight and try to fix it tomorrow.

That's how it's supposed to be. The hose was fine. I just cut mine off too and am replacing with AN lines and billet fuel rails. I have a 2005 350z.

Replace with 5/16" ID hose.
