Replaced compressor and still hear a whining noice
When I turn my ac on I hear a whining noise. Just had it serviced and they didn't see any problems. AC is cold but the noise has me worried. Had a mobile mechanic replace the compressor and won't come back to fix the problem. I'm at a loss and just can't afford a new car right now.

Loosen the serpentine belt and check the idle pulley and power steering pulley.

2002 Ford Taurus. This has been an excellent car until a mechanic got hold of it in 2015. Ever since he replaced the whole air conditioner unit I have had nothing but problems. It is still blowing cold air but only through the defrost vents.
