Noise while car on.

The noise started while I was at a complete stop at a traffic light. I shut the engine off, and pushed it out of the street. Turned it back on, and it sounded fine until about 3 minutes after and it started making the noise again. What could it be?

check your pulleys and make sure they are spinning and one isn't seized up on you. doesn't sound good though..

Man that sounds really ungood. I hope it's parked. My guess is it's something other than pulleys though I could be wrong. Plug in an OBD diagnostic tool and see what comes up.
