I got a 2008 HR with a check engine light... car has 86k currently, stock other then drop in filters and y pipe, runs great doesn’t misfire at all pulls hard. However when you start after it’s already warm it instantly drops to like 300-500 rpms for a second and then it comes back up and idles more normally. With the AC on it idles perfectly however with it off it starts to die down and idle lower then it should be. Sounds like it’s almost about to die

I took it to Autozone and had their computer plugged into it and it said I needed a fuel pump. Do you think that’s the issue that i’m having? I know the computers at autozone are pretty accurate but i’d just like to hear what you guys think... i’ve only owned this car for a month now.

Also i looked online and found a replacement electric fuel pump for a 350z hr for like 50$ brand new... you think it’s legit and a good enough part to use? I’d like to spend the least that I can on a fuel pump but still get one that’s gonna be reliable... I plan on doing the work myself since it’s pretty simple. Knowing nothing about this, it makes sense in that initial low rev that it's going. It'll probably get worse over time. But for a pretty inaccessible part, I'd say go with reasonable quality.
