Default 350z stutters at 3k rpm

My 03 350z touring has some issues. I take it out for a drive and everything is fine until I hit 3k rpm and the car starts to stutter, but when I turn off the car and reset it everything works perfectly fine I can do a full pull no problem until after about 2 minutes of driving it happens again at 3k.
took it to autozone and they found a code p0340 camshaft sensor bank 1 car does idle rough can this sensor be the cause of the stuttering?
car is straight piped and has a k&n intake.

Replace with Hitachi sensors..... big box store ones have been known not to work the greatest
