Question No traction control, SLIP light always on

I have a 2003 350z Touring,

The car has no traction control; pressing the VDC button does nothing and the VDC Off light in the cluster never comes on. My SLIP light is always on, as soon as I turn on the car. What could cause this issue?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything on this specifically.

Have you done maintenance recently where you had to unplug anything?

Have you checked fuses/relays? I believe for the VDC, it's a relay.

How long have you had the car?

Thank you for the reply!

Nothing has been unplugged recently, it's been like this since I bought the car, about 9 months ago. I've never had traction control but asked this now cause I lost traction and got into an accident.

Also, I made a typo in my post. I have a TCS button, not a VDC button, so I don't think my car has VDC. In my fuse box, there's no fuse for VDC, but I'm not sure if there's supposed to be one there because I don't have it.

So this changes everything. What I'm guessing is:
the previous owner may have done a "traction control delete" for the purpose of a build. The dash light could have simply burnt out for it.
not sure how to go about checking this, but wiring could be the way to go. unless @travlee has some input.
if it wasn't a "delete" then I'd check your sensors. Even if the light isn't illuminating, treat it like it is. Like I said, it could have just burnt out

The TCS is part of a fusible link with the ABS and ignition, located in the fuse box near the battery. If the connection is cut between the terminals it will disable traction control and the SLIP light will remain on, but so will the ABS. As Calvin mentioned above the other lights may have just burned out. I have one link that I cut for the track and the one in the photo is what I run on the street. If this is cut, swap in a new one and hopefully that'll do the trick. Fortunately the link is only $17 from Z1.

If the 30 amp connections are cut it will disable TCS and ABS.

I did check the fusible link, and it seems to be uncut. My ABS light blinks when turned on and stays off, so the light seems to be fine as well.

I have the same problem, sluggish acceleration. I replaced both the Throttle Position Sensor AND the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor, but still the same problem. TCS and Slip Light are on too.
