Default Slip light came on

I was taking some turns fairly quick yesterday and the "slip" light on the dash was blinking after a couple of the turns. I had the VDC turned off and have a Nismo LSD. I've taken fast turns before and the light never came on until this time. I wasn't able to find out what this was or what made it turn on. Any help? Thanks.

Are you sure you had the VDC turned off? The SLIP light indicates the TCS system activates and helps regain traction lost at the wheels.

Yeah, it's usually a force of habit to turn off the VDC but if this is what makes the slip light turn on, then I could have always thought I turned off the VDC. Thanks.

Armitage is right, I don't think the slip light comes on unless VDC is on.

SLIP light is related to TCS, not VDC IIRC. However, they are both controlled by the same button and are mutually inclusive to one another.

But even with the VDC off, you can trip the system to go into ice mode if you're sliding around like crazy (say you're on a wet parking lot practicing drifting).
