Angry Tire feathering/Tire swap

Just got my car back from the dealer. I'm not pissed off at the tire swap issue. I am pissed that the Nissan dealer who couldn't do the swap and told me after they had it there for a day and then sent my car to some other tire shop to do the work. I'm still confused as to why Nissan couldn't do the work. Now my front right wheel has a gouge in it....Nissan is un#$%king believable...sorry for the spelling..I'm still pissed...I just got the phone with the service department..

My local dealer (2 miles away) told me that they would not perform the TSB because they were scared of damaging the wheel. So, I took it to a dealer that said they would replace the wheel if they damaged it. In your case, I would think that the dealer is still liable to you since they were responsible for getting the work done - regardless of whether or not they get the shaft from the outside shop.

which dealership did you go to?? the exact same thing happened to me at boardwalk nissan in redwood city. they had it for a day and at the end of the day, they called me saying they need it an extra day, which they used to sublet the alignment/tire swap. they were advised by nissan to have it sublet...i guess NNA doesn't trust boardwalk (i wouldn't either!)

My dealer damaged both my wheels while performing the TSB. On top of that, they couldn't even do the alignment because the machine was broken!

They did call me and tell me what happened.

They've ordered two new wheels and I'm supposed to return the car tomorrow for them to perform the TSB.

I had both my wheels damaged as well. They tried shaving the rims down where they damaged them but they did a really bad paint job the first time. You could see the swirl marks from the shaving.

On top of that, they damaged my bumper when they returned the car the first time. Originally I had the bumper, hood, & fenders repainted because of paint chips. I also had the dimples filled in the bumper to make it smooth for the clear bra that was also put on. When I confronted the service advisor about my problem, he said "Are you sure, you didn't do that?". I was so pissed. In the end they fixed everything, but it was a pain in the @$$ to go through the trouble.
