Default Knock Sensor Bolt Hole Damaged?

Hi everyone,

I've been working on replacing the knock sensor and harness on my DE 350Z, but now I cannot tighten the mounting bolt, even when I used a brand new bolt as a test. Inspecting the original bolt, it appeared there was at least part of a thread repair insert on it, so someone else must have previously replaced/removed the sensor (not 1st owner and have limited history on car's maintenance and repair).

I realize this means I need to address the likely damaged mounting hole itself, but wanted to ask how anyone else handled it/if they had this issue? I'm wanting to approach this in the most efficient way possible and have perused many threads about knock sensor replacement and how-tos, but did not see anything on this particular issue. I also know this isn't knock sensor specific as of course a stripped hole can occur wherever, just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this in this location and how they approached the problem.
