04 350z Enthusiast coupe manual trans TCS and Slip light on dash permanently

Clicking the tcs off light in the car does nothing. But the traction control feels like it’s still working.

Any suggestions for a fix?

Pull codes.

Possible easy fix like cam and crank sensors (replace all with Nissan sensors even if only one code show up).

Have you done anything with wheels/tires lately? Could also be tire sizing.

Recently put all new rubbers on all the tires. How could that effect to tcs or slip?

Are they factory sized? If not, that will cause the light.

As cobra said, if you're on OE sized tires (or equivalent diameter) upsized, e.g. 18 to 19, no issues. But, if you went to a size that was square (all four corners same) or exceeded diameters causing the front and rear tires to be less or greater than 3% (+/- 0.25%), this will cause the car's ECM to detect that one end is rolling faster than allowed and interprets this as wheelspin (front end washout or tail slide) and invokes traction control on the offending tire. Wheel speed sensors send such rolling rates to the ECM several times per second.

But I still consider a cam or crank sensor a high er possibility and easy enough to track down by pulling the DTCs (codes).
