2007 350z overheating at idle. driving me nuts!
Sitting in my car one day noticed that the cold air started smelling funny, saw my temp gauge was sky high and instantly turned the car off, popped the hood and saw that my coolant was bubbling hot so i had somebody pick me up and left the car to cool, came back later turned it on and the car seemed fine, i drove around for a bit n everything fine, i stopped at the house and let the car run for a bit then it started overheating again, i then realized that the car overheats on idle, checked the fans and they don’t kick on, checked the fuse and saw that it was blown so i went and got a new one and instantly blew it again, decided to get some new fans and once i replaced the fans and replaced both the blown fuses the car was finally fixed! but only for about 2 weeks then the same problem lol, fans aren’t kicking on and both fuses are blown again. Any help would be appreciated!
Bad fans most likely. I had to replace mine and the replacements did exactly as yours did. The third set of fans worked fine and have been good for 100k miles.
