Angry Jack Stand attachments?

I have 2000 miles on my new Z and I'm getting ready for my first oil change. Well, my service manual came in the other day and when I checked the jack stand locations, I noticed the manual specifies to use a jack stand attachment made by Kent-Moore. I tried to order them directly from Kent-Moore and the company said they never even heard of them! I tried to order it through my dealer, but they pretty much called the same number and had the same problem. After being on the phone for hours with a Kent-Moore engineer, we found out that it was a Japanese part number and he stated that I could not order it.

I looked under my car and I don't see an alternate location that I would want to put the stands under. I thought about making my own attachments out of 2x4s, but visions of me being entered in the next Darwin awards made steer clear from that idea.

I called 1-800-NISSAN-1 and they said they didn't know what to do, which I thought was odd. Its their service manual!

So how the **** am I supposed to put my car up on jacks?

Sorry, I'm frustrated.

Lawn Dart...

Do a forum search for "jack stands". This will take you to a thread that explains everything you need to know, including a diagram.

Go to your local AutoZone and get some Rhino Ramps. Typically, $15 to $20 (for a set) and so much easier to use than having to jack up two sides of a car and then placing jack stands afterwards. Trust me, I know.
