*HELP* - squeaking in my left TEIN Flex suspension. *PICS DISPLAYED*
I have had my TEIN Flex Suspension on my Z for around 2k miles. My left strut started squeaking really bad the other day like it sounded like a washer wasn't tightened or something. . .
I took off my wheel on the left rear side where the noise was coming from and noticed that this part that is circled in RED is loose. You turn it clock wise or counter clockwise, it doesn't do anything but spin. This is what is causing the noise i'm hearing.
How come it doesn't tighten like the right rear side does? I dont' know what to do.
Hope someone can help me out!

did you tighten the bolt on the top? When you get the suspension from Tein, that bold on top of the pillow block is only hand tight, if after time it has become loosened from driving it can be the cause of what you are describing. I would suggest to unbolt it from the car and tighten that nut with a wrench. Keep in mind that you will have to hold the strut with your hand otherwise it will start to spin when you tighten the nut. I tightened mine as tight as possible using my hand on one side and a wrench on the other. Check it out and let us know.
how do I access the top from inside the trunk? I had a local shop do this for me, so I don't know how it was installed. Can I take care of it without unbolting everything?
I would take it back to the local shop to fix it, but they are booked up for the next 3 weeks and this is something I'd like to take care of this weekend.

You have to take it out to tighten the nut. Since its your rear suspension it is not that hard to do. Just jack up the car and unbolt the strut. You might want to use an extra jack placed underneath the rear sprind so as to make it easier removing and installing the rear strut. Good luck.
