Default Anyone have experience with that TV ding remover?

I was thinking of trying one from Strauss Auto but my ding is bare metal in the center. I am afraid that even if the thing works, it may cause me problems when I touch-up paint the fix. That is, if I can't clean the glue out of the chip.

Has anyone tried this thing? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? I thought about Paintless Dent Removal, but they only seem to be available through some other car dealerships in the area (and I still have to fix the paint afterwards!).

Thanks!

Dont do it. I've seen more damage done with these things. Find a GOOD Paintless Dent Repair guy. The work is tedious (hammers, mirrors etc are used by the guys that are good).

Also, most PDR guys can touch up the paint too. Good luck. You may want to ask your dealership who they use. Sometimes the guys will come to your house

Ya.. it might pull your dent back a little bit..but it will not be back to original shape.. find a local PDR company and pay around $100 to get the job done. Actually, I am thinking of taking a PDR class and learn the skill the next time i have vacation(so i can learn to do it on my own car)

I guess you've both talked me out of using it. I just can't find a PDR that isn't attached to a dealership. There is no way I want to have to go to a car dealer for something I should be able to get done at my house or local shop.

I'll take another look through the yellow pages tonight!

if you look at those commercials closely you'll see the 2 new dents that piece of crap creates to pull one out. it's pretty funny actually.
