Warranty work 5/14/04: Tranny/Window/Seat
Car Info:
2003 Nissan 350z
Build Date 09/02
VIN: 4,2XX
Problems:
1) Driverside window not dropping down & drivers side window rolling up and then rolling half way back down
2) Worn fabric on seat bottom
3) MT grinding in 3rd gear
Diagnosis & Fix:
1) Dealer to replaced window regulater per bulletin BT04-007A. Window now drops down correctly and so far appears to be working properly.
2) Replaced seat bottom with new fabric. Good as new
3) Diagnosis was a worn syncro in 3rd gear. Parts ordered are as follows:
Transmission: 32010-CD008
Disc Assy-Clutch: 30100-CD019
Pedal Assy Clutch: 46503-CD010
Rod Assy Push: 306310CD000
The new tranny feels great so far and now grinding. The new clutch catches a little past haf way. My old one used to catch right at the half way point. Feels great so far, thank you Nissan!
My Z is as good as new!

Note #2:
Now that I have driven the car a bit more...the clutch definately catches higher the the original clutch. Alot closer to the top of the clutch throw.
Not necessarily a bad thing, but need to get used to it...
