Default two newer TSB's

Just thought I would let everyone know that there seems to be two somewhat newer TSB's that address some of the irritating aspects of our cars. Neither of these are major problems and in and of themselves shouldnt make someone go to their dealer for them alone. But if you should happen to be there for something else, say the tire feathering, or maybe a routine oil change, you can mention these to them, cause from my understanding quite a few of the cars have it, it just depends on which owners find it irritating enough to say something. well, to get to the point:

1) TSB NT04-042: this addresses the inability of the hatch to open. It has been referenced here and there on this forum, yet I am still trying to find confirmation of this on the net. Cant find it on nissan's site or nissanhelp.com. But from what i understand it replaces the hatch springs with some stiffer ones.

2)TSB NT04-059: (i found this one by trying to find the above): this addresses the inability of the fuel door to open all the time when the button is pushed from inside the car. again my car does this but not to the point that it pi$$es me off, just have to make sure that i press the button a couple of times. anyway in short this TSB changes out the rubber bumpers as well as the spring in the hatch on the fuel door. you can check this and other TSB and the pdf files on nissanhelp.com the tsb's on this site are kinda old and outdated.

just trying to be helpful.

I have both those problems. I usually push my button twice for both. It was annoying at first, but I'm used to it now.

Does this address when I push the remote to open the hatch, it does not unlock, I have to push it again to get it unlock?

yes that is exactly what that tsb addresses. i know its generally more of a problem in the winter but once the springs start wearing out the problem even persists into the summer. check the site out. its pretty self explanatory on how to navigate. just click on which model of nissan you want to inquire about, then choosed the year and then choose whether you want to look at bulletins or recalls, etc. then just start scrolling.
