Talking ooooohhh, i got you now, baby....

I've jsut got to share a moment of extreme satisfaction with some of the only people who can understand.

THIS RATTLE..... had been driving me up the wall for months. not sure when exactly when it started, but it was just... there. not really loud, not constant, just an intermittant itch that i couldn't quite scratch. i tapped on everything, tightened everything, inspected everything. i could not find it.
But tody, i got it. i was under the hood, looking at the new CF engine cover i'd just put on. i put my hands on the air guide and leaned forward... and ther it was. repeat process. there it was again. and again.
And i saw it. when i'd put in my Injen CAI, i'd removed the template that funnels air into the stock air box so that i could fit the new intake tube through that opening. i hadn't replaced the screws afterwards, because i had thought that they were only there to hold the template. Turns out, there's a second structure underneath that they also hold. i went and dug through my stock air box parts, found the screws put them in, took a drive....

Blessed Silence. oh, i got it. i got that f****r. i think this has been more satisfying than any mod i've done. i almost wish i had another rattle, jsut so i could hunt it down and get this much satisfacton from fixing it.

I must say that was truely hilarious story. I think that made my day, well since I have been reading the extra long and depressing Tire Feathering Thread. Well thanks for the info.
