Got my entire rear end on my Z replaced cuz of hub clicking
I went for an oil change a few weeks ago and I was told by a fellow 350z driver at a meet who is also a Mechanic that my rear hubs were clicking and need to be tightened. SO I mentioned that to the dealership and they said not even a week prior there was a service announcement about it. They told me they tightened it and the noise is gone but they want to replace the entire rear end hub assembly.
2 weeks later I dropped the car off and they replaced the axels, bearing assembly and CV boots and the hub assembly. The car is running perfect and it only took 1 day to do it.
Just thought I mentioned this, if you are getting clicking sounds from your rear end when accelerating from a stop this is the fix..

I have clicking also, but my car is lowered. Will they still cover this? And have you heard of this happening on any 2004 models? I know of four other lowered Z's that have this same sound.

Not sure about the springs, it depends on your dealership mostly. The clicking noise is coming from the drivetrain not the suspension so it shouldn't be void, but you never know if the dealership is gonna stick it to ya or not.

Does anyone have any more info on this topic. Any official web site or link on this tsb. It sounded like the clinking during acceleration was coming from the exhaust, is that possible or is it definitely from the axles.
