Default Fuel Gauge Not Indicating Correctly

When i filled up tonight the pump turned off indicating the tank was full. I kept pumping the nozzel handle to squeeze in a little more fuel to round off the price. When i started the Z the fuel guage indicated that it was still a 1/4 tank from full. Anyone else experience this problem????? This is the first time its happened so it might just be that i need to pull the nozzel further out to keep it from cutting off.

i had the same problem, it took a couple trips to dealer to fix the problem. i think they ended up replacing the sensors in the gas tank. If you do a search I think that there are few other people who had the same problem. Plus I think that they have more detailed info than I've got. Either way you might want to pay your service department a visit. Good Luck

I think your problem is that the tank is not filling up completely, the gauge is probably fine. Lots of people have reported having that problem. I've had it twice, the last time I knew it was far from full so I just kept burping a little more fuel and a little more fuel every time the nozzle shut off. Eventually, it started taking the gas without stopping and I was able to finish filling the tank with the nozzle going full speed.

I did the same thing on the last two fill ups and have not had the problem return.
