Unhappy ** Need body advice - I injured my poor Z

I just hurt my z through stupidity and I need some help to make it right. First I guess I will cop to the dumbness...

I was sealing my driveway today so my cool neighboor said I could put our cars in his driveway. When I was pulling the Z in to his driveway I didn't realize he had large rocks in his driveway (why does he have them? I dunno). Anyway, I dragged my rocker panel on the rock and messed it up good. The good news is that the damage appears limited to the plastic rocker panel.

So my questions:

1) Are these easy to put on and remove? I am hoping I can just buy a new one, get it painted to match, and pop it on good as new.

2) Anybody got a good source for oem parts at good prices? How bad is this gonna hurt my wallet?

3) Anybody with a body kit got a used panel to sell me? Preferably silverstone, but any color will be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help. I am feeling like a dumbass and this is gonna bug the crap out of me until I make it right.

AndyB

(This picture shows where the damage is in case I didn't describe it well. Except mine is dmaged on the passenger side. )

Default Aftermarket

Dpending on the price i may consider aftermarket. (although I mostly like the stock look just fine.)

If anyone has links to andy side panels that look good even if you any use the side panels (and not the nose, rear, etc.) please feel free to post them.

Mostly I am hoping to find a stick panel inexpensive.

This totally blows. Somehow it wis worse knowing the wound is self inflicted.

Your best bet is to find someone who is selling that part in your color. You would be surprised how many people out there are, or would be willing to sell what they have taken off of their rides when installing body kits. Post a wanted add. Look through the classifieds. Worse case, unscrew the thing and have it fixed at a local body shop. I'm guessing you could get some pretty good work done for a couple hundred.

I have posted a wanted post. Hopefully I can find a take-off from someone who has a body kit.

If all else fails, you'll want to PM Jeff@performance or go to his dealership's website at mynismo.com. Silverstone is a very common color so you shoudln't have a problem at all. As for taking it off, see if any of the Z forums have the dealership install instructions that show you where all the clips and stuff are.

Sideskirts for a HOnda Accord cost $130 new and painted so I doubt you'll be spending much more than $200 before labor.

yea it's probably around $100-200ish for a new oem side skirt.

how bad is the damage? is it just scratches, are there holes, deep gouges, etc; pictures would help. how confident are you in fixing body work yourself (it's alot easier than you would think, i recently re-fiberglassed and reinforced my front bumper and prepped my bumper/fenders/side skirts for paint by myself for the first time), how cheap can you get stuff painted for? these are all things i would ask myself before making a decision.
