Angry frickin deer, now what

ok the unthinkable happened saturday night....on my way home and a bigass deer comes out of nowhere and nails my door, takes my mirror and dents the door and rear quarterpanel. Pretty severe dents in both, waiting on an appraiser. How does this work, will they try to fix these pieces or will they just replace the whole part? I was thinkin if they were gonna replace the rear anyway, mebbe its time to look into a wide body to take its place. I wonder if a body shop would work with me on that? Do i have choices or does it just get fixed back the way it was and thats it? Ive never had to deal with this before

Be thankful. A friend of mine just lost his 15 year old son. He was in a truck on the way back from a fishing trip and a deer jumped out in front of them. Not to downplay your troubles but just glad to hear your ok.

Your insurance should cover your accident.

That really sucks!

However, I agree with zh.guitar. My Dad lives up in Shasta, Northern California where people have been killed when hitting a deer.

I hit a deer also. $10,000 worth of insurance money later, the car is almost normal, some small differences that I can notice.
