Default Tranny problem, i really need your help.... please

Hi~ thx for people who come in and try to help me out.

I saw a lot of people on this board have problem with their tranny and got replaced..... so here is my peroblem, plz help me out.

I brought my car into dealer 2 days ago, because of my transmision problem and my driver side window cannot operate.

the problem of mine is that It's hard for me to shift into each gear, and I sometimes got stucked when shift from 1~2 or 3~2 gear, and sometimes i cannot shift into reverse too. The clutch is making some really weird squeching sound when i press down the clutch....... I dont know it's normal or not.....

the dealer called me today, and he told me that my tranny was not installed right by the body shop which fixed my car ( car acident like 6 months ago, but it's not too bad at all). SO, he told me to go back the bodyshop and re-install the tranny will solve the problem. However, since I heard a lot of people having the tranny problem, is it possible that my dealer just making some ******** and try to push me away ~?? because i got my car fixed 4.5 months ago, and i hab no problem driving around at first.
I remeber that even though people got into accident, their car r still covered by warranty, isn't it ??

Another question, I see a lot of people got their tranny replaced is due to the " Grinding" problem.

Can someone please explain to me more detailly what is the "grinding" and wut does it feel like or sound like?? i think i am so stupid to understand the word "grinding" (my english is bad), anyone can help me out ??

I am really scared for having the tranny problem after the warranty expired...... oh yea, my car is made in 2003.... = = "

how much is a brand new tranny cost??

Go to another dealer and dont tell them the car was in a body shop and see if they will have it replaced under warranty. If the dealer already knows the car was in a body shop and transmission work was done, you are SOL.

if the body shop took the tranny out and did some damage installing it. they either damaged the t\o bearing or damaged the pilot bearing. when you depress the clutch everything in the tranny is supposed to stop so you can select the next gear. if either one of the bearings are hanging up then the tranny will want to keep turning with the engine. therefore you cant shift the tranny or it is grinding going into gears. call sp at 408 988-2233 give me more details.
