Default 15K quiet miles after alignment and new tires

That's my question?? Has anyone gotten 15K quiet miles out of their new design Brig's after front tire replacement and alignment? I would be happy with 15K quiet miles with then (some feathering) and noise increasing until replacement at 20K miles.

I'm at 4000 on the new tread pattern RE 040's & I'm starting to hear & see the feathering come back. Both of my 2 pervious sets were replaced at 7-8 thousand, they were way beyond the minimum replacement criteria in the TSB. I think these new ones will go a lot farther, maybe never reach the replacement criteria because of the solid outer band of rubber. This sucks because I don't want to be stuck with RE 040's as the only useable tire!

Sounds like you have a bad suspension problem, I now have 6K miles on my old thread style replacement Brig's and no noise and the feathering is not noticeable. Seems to be a lot of variation in the amount of feathering between Z's. Thanks for the response.

4k miles on the Nissan special RE040's and the noise is very noticeable. As was said above, they are not 'feathering' according to Nissan's definition as found in the April '04 TSB, so Nissan will no longer do anything about it. I did end up losing my case through the BBB because of lies from Nissan and the arbitrator's blatant ignorance of the facts. Still considering if I want to risk retaining an attorney and going to court.
