Awesome pics! I wish I was there.

On a side note: I hope the Japanese scene isn't moving towards too much Altezza lights and chrome wheels.

ihtbobbarker ...

I went to the Tokyo Auto Salon show as well on Saturday .. in at 9:15 AM and stayed until 3:00 PM.

Overall the Auto Salon was great .. but not as exciting as it was over the past 2 years since there are really no new vehicles out there and most mods have been produced.

I saw fewer Z's and more RX8's ...

I was very impressed with the showings from Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, and Honda -- but the Toyota area was boring with no concepts and Mitsubishi was not there at all.

I feel that the tuners associated with the big auto manufacturers -- namely, NISMO, Subaru, Mazdaspeed and Mugen are powering ahead of new model introductions.

Here are a few pictures I took ...

One of the 3 convention areas of the show:

Hahaha... wasup bob. I'm in Japan also for the show and some vacation time. My brother lives here so it gives a good reason to visit and go to the show... LOL...
I'll be here for another week.
I haven't posted any pictures yet but will later.

Western area of Japan. I was up in Tokyo for a business meeting in downtown Tokyo on Wed and Thur and then another meeting on Friday in the Makuhari area where the auto show is. Stayed at the New Otani in Makurari on Thur and Fri .. a difficult 3 minute walk to the show !

Saw a few guys being going around with their parents. Great if you can do it with friends sometime. Hope you are feeling better.

Interesting to note .. the Honda area had no S2000 on display which may mean that they are going to discontinue it. Too bad if they do -- but that Mugen Legend concept looked great !!

Yeah the legend is really nice.
I'm going to try and hit kyoto probably thur and friday. But I heard it's a pretty long trip to get out there.
Also going to try and see some tracks, like twinring motegi and tsukuba track.
akihabara is another place ima go. I was in shinjuku last night.
When are you heading back?
