Are you using a macro or extension tubes to get the DOF? Any off camera flash? I am used to shooting more portraits than abstracts. But I think that your photography has motivated me to try.

At any rate, great pix.

Thanks. No extension tubes or macro rings used. Just a 28-70mm 2.8 lens. That's my 'workhorse' lens. I just bought a 15mm 2.8 Fisheye and will probably start playing with it today.

Of course a 15mm on the 1D is equivilent to a 24mm on a non digital camera. The minimum focusing distance is about 1 inch so who knows what kind of cool textures I'll get.

I'll post them if any turn out...

Thanks again.

No prob. My set is a Nikon F100 with 28-70/28, 70-200/28, 105/28 macro and a 85/1.8. Just wanted to know what you are using. I have a film scanner to get my hi-res pix. Works great with PS and Genuine Fractals. You can easily go to 16"x20" with no visible grain.

Good luck. Keep shooting and posting.
