thank you very much for the comp.

just a question to all. do you guys keep you engine bays looking good because you like it that way or because your Zs make it to a lot of car shows? me personally, i do it because of the shows and the wow factor. people always comment on my engine bay whenever i have the hood up. usually i get, "how the hell do you keep it so clean?", or "you could eat off that thing" or "do you drive if everyday?"

i do it mainly for my own OCD... my car is always clean (except when i am visiting my parents on the farm, and then i want to wash it every day). i don't make it to too many shows or meets, but usually whenever someone wants to see the engine they are pretty impressed with how clean it is.

I also feel that having the engine bay the way you and i have ours, shows that the owner has more love for his car than the next guy. i could go 6 months without washing my car, then wash and wax it and it will look leaps and bounds better. if i were to neglect the engine bay for the dame amount of time (depends on the environment), it would look like total crap and would take a lot more work to bring it up to par compared to just washing and waxing. a wipe down every two weeks is all that is needed.

when people see my car, it is always clean. people tend, let me rephrase that, people are way more careful around my car in parking lots or any other place i might leave my Z. granted i park in BFE, nevertheless not one scratch or dent in two plus years (25 months) of ownership (knock on wood. lol)

What would be some nice colors to go with on a chrome silver Z?? I don't want to get much into the reds and blues, albeit all the ones I've seen here are very nice.. I definitely know I want to go with a painted rad support.

Thanks. Oh, and the flash made the engine cover look like it's glowing, but I assure you it's redline.
