Exclamation My DB Z with: JIC's, VOLK LE37's, BATS OVERLAYS, SLOTTED ROTORS, SLICKS...

Here are a few pics of my car, I just recently put the wheels on, some shots have the regular chrome lugnuts, newer shots have the black Rays lugnuts. Car is lowered between 1.5-1.75", tires are BFG KDW2's 255/285 19. Wheels are Limited Edition LE37's 19X9.5" front 19X10.5" rear with +22 offset at all corners. I had to roll my fenders to get the 285's to not rub.

Oh yeah right around 400rwhp and slicks will def be 11's. Ill shoot for low 12's on street tires.

Wear and tear depends on how hard you launch, and your tracks prep. Some guy shave no issues with clutches and axles (me, knock on wood), other snap axles there first time out. I have pretty much dropped the clutch at 6000rpm's thing is my car bogs slightly, so Ive pulled very weak 1.8 60 ft's. If there is a clunk, I dont hear it, my car is too loud. Maybe you have the axle clicking problem, and your really hearing it off the launch?

Do you preload your clutch a little before you launch? If not that thud you hear could be you shocking your clutch/tranny/drivetrain. What I mean by preload is hold the clutch in, but just barely enough to where your not moving forward, so when you dump the clutch your not "shocking" the drivetrain as much. If you were to have the clutch to the floor and dump it, that would surely get you a nasty thump noise.

i believe this is the reason , thats exactly whta happened come to think of it , you know things dont always go as you plan especialy in a street race. But i didnt preload my clutch, so yea i def gotta master fethering it more. I have been getting great launches though lol.
