It most likely has the clutchless shift on the steering wheel.

The tip is great on the Porsche. My dad's friend has the Ferrari with the paddles, and that is even better. I couldn't image driving that Ferrari with a manual. The paddles are just that good. The shifting is so much faster than the manuals are and when are in the twisties it is much much easier to get the job done and concentrate on the road. I would also get the SMG in the M3. The SMG is great, and I would bet I could bet most people with manuals no problem in another M3.

However, I would never get an auto 350Z, and I sure wished for a manual on the 328Ci I had (it had a decent manumatic, but took way too long to shift).

PS> Wasn't this a thread about 350Z pictures at one point?

Talking Why a Manumatic Z is the Way To Go

The Manumatic is very misunderstood,
A Manumatic in the Z is Way The Hell Better then just a Manual!
Why have half a transmission????

Think about it, A Computerized Clutch is way more efficient and faster than a Real Person. Let's Face It, there is a reason it has been made, It's an Upgrade not a Downgraded Transmission.
It's the 21st Century start living in it, Quit living in the Past.

By the way, A True Sports Car is an Advance in Engineering and let's face it, the AutoStick is the Future and the Manual is the Past.

Before you make a comment like autotragic, buddy, try asking the person why the made that decision, then make an intelligent comment.

The reason I got my car was not for racing, I plan on using this one for highway, and I plan on getting another Z (project car) and it will be a Manual, because that's what's appropriate for the track/racing.

An automatic Z is the way to go? I don't believe the automatic tranny Z has a clutch, but a torque convertor.

My neighbor bought the Porsche as a gift to his father who helped start his tire business. My neighbor is 37-years-old and has 3 kids. He is really a nice guy. Unfortuneately, his father recently passed away unexpectedly, thus he is keeping the Porsche. I dont think he is much of a Porsche/sports car type of guy. He mainly drives a new full-size pickup like a F-150 or Silverado every 3 years or so.

When I get the chance, I will race the Porsche and see how badly he beats me. He has the advantage of 4wd, 415hp, 415 lb/ft torque @ 2700 RPM! but the thing weighs almost 3400 lbs.
