APS TT 350z:

ChicagoZ.com: What got you hooked to the Z that you ended up purchasing it?
BriGuyMax: I saw the new "Z" at the Detroit Auto show in January of 2002. I stood and stared at it for 20 minutes straight before my friend made me leave. I wanted a RWD Japanese Sports car, and it came down to choosing between a used Supra Turbo or the new 350Z. I couldn't justify paying over 30 grand for a 5-6 year old car, so that's why I have the Z.
ChicagoZ.com: What action does your Z mostly see? drag, autox, road race, show car, weekend car, and/or daily driver...
BriGuyMax: My Z started out as my daily driver, but now it's basically just my nice weather car. It sees the drag strip a couple times a year, and I'll start taking it to road courses again late this summer when I upgrade the cooling system.
ChicagoZ.com: Any performance specs? 1/4 mile@mph, whp/wtorq, track times...
BriGuyMax:
Power: 430whp @ 9psi, 460whp@ 10psi
0-60: approx. 3 seconds
1/4 Mile: 11.72@120mph 1.73 60'
ChicagoZ.com: What other modifications are you planning on doing to the Z, if any? Whether it's performance, handling, appearance, and/or sound system....
BriGuyMax: In the near future I'm going to upgrade the cooling system and install an oil cooler. I've also been tossing around the idea of APS 3.5in test pipes, APS 3in. true dual exhaust and methanol injection to see how far I can take the stock motor. If and when I blow it up, I'll have a built motor waiting to be installed.
ChicagoZ.com: Won any awards? Have any sponsorships?
BriGuyMax: Negative. My car isn't about show, it's about going fast and looking basically stock.

You know I've been on a roadcourse or two in my day. If you think you can keep up, maybe we could put a little cash on it and have someone record our lap times.
PS - I won't be on a street tire or a street pad.
Get used to seeing chrome silver cars passing you this summer Bruce!
Whos turbo Z did you pass already? Tom?
