I think it is Razorback Red ... same color as my favorite Hog sweatshirt. Maybe that should be the name.

Default Brickyard

Sorry to break up a Big 12/Southeast rivalry, but I think it is Claret, a wine-red that changes with the light. Also, I am from OU and it isn't crimson. I had no idea I was ordering a metallic color when I preordered. What a pleasant surprise.

Boomer,
You are correct. I had a dodge pickup that was that color and I was going to mention it. However my truck had much more red in it. At night you could still see a red tint, it didn't fade to the black or plum I see in low light.

When I saw it I thought it had alot of brown overtones in it. Maybe it was the light but its still a nice color.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car, vova151. I would be going crazy.

But as to agreeing about the color of Brickyard, there is not likely to be any resolution. It is enough that we each describe the color as we chose, not that we all agree to that description.

Thanks for the kind words. I feel like my dog was shot.

I know we will never agree....but some people take this so serious that it's fun to keep pushing and get them all worked up.

A Brick by any other name is still a Brick.

Out of touch or just plain touched...sometimes it's hard to tell!

OH! My bad,

It's like my entire family was hacked to death with a wooden spoon...they even dug up some of dead ones and mutilated them.

Seriously though, I just got through washing it and most of the paint came off. It's one of those things where I will notice but most won't. I'm hoping a good wax will make it fade even more.

I'll glad to hear it.

Perhaps a fine-cut rubbing compound will remove whatever is left.

I glad you said that. I've been feeling kind of foolish I guess you might say. Whenever I open the door from the house to the garage and see my Performance Silverstone sitting there I have to catch my breath and then I think wow that's mine. I picked it up on Valentine's day and it still happens. I guess the feeling will fade in time.

Later,
Ozz

I'm glad you feel the same, Ozz, as I initially felt rather foolish admitting that I still couldn't believe the car actually was mine.

Still, everytime I see it (and it's been six weeks), my heart goes pitty-pat.

"Whenever I open the door from the house to the garage ..."

You mean you don't keep it in your house?
