It's true cold air. Better get a shield or it'll get dirty in a week, just a warning.

My injen has been on since summer...no problems.

The filter is oiled to repel water/dirt. They also have a "hydro shield". http://www.injen.com/hydroshield.html

And yes it has a mass air flow meter.

I had an INJEN intake...didnt like it as much...OK performance but didnt do that much...plus the rubber piece...wasnt giving in that much air...soo i went with AEM...alot better..easy to install and WOW...it really gave out good air flow to the manifold... ....plus my g/f's sponsered but AEM.. soo got a good price on on it....plus my g/f's sponsered by them...2006 mitsubishi eclipse...cold air intake...DC sport exhuast...tein coilovers..and soon a WORK supercharger...for a good price of $ NOTHING.. good for her though
