+1, but make sure you've got some riding time under your belt, the 1000 is nothing short of very serious.

you have a 1000 cause you live in chicago and go fast in straight lines. If you want to hit the twisties out here there's nothing better than a 600. Saying stuff like that makes you sound squid like. I don't know your background in riding but hitting cloverleafs doesn't compare to out here.

you can die just as quick on a 600. Every bike is dangerous. There wasn't a day of riding out here that someone didn't almost hit me.

I can't wait to post pix, but I want to take it outdoors. The ****** rain just will not let up. I'll post pix asap.

Man, i love bikes...but sadly, i don't think i'd ever be mature enough to ride one...the speed would be waaaaaay to much.

Congrats though!!

Actually I hit twisties all the time out here. There are many motorcycle tracks. Anyways, I'm in tennessee right now and there are plenty of road courses around here. The dry weight of my bike is 365 lbs, very comparable to a 600. Which I've owned a 600 pictured below and it's not much of a difference at all. I don't have a picture of my 1000 on my computer yet. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to motorycyles and I am an experienced rider with two experienced state safety courses under my belt. Thanks.
