does the JVC kd6200 play anything on the screen if its not a video....like artist title album genre type thing?
can you program screen savers?
what does it show when nothing is being played at all.......
did you get any aftermarket speakers? or is the HU powering ur stock ones nicely?
what else can the kd6200 do? would you recommend it? user freindly?

I just sold my old Pioneer Motorized DVD (AVH-5700) and purchased the same screen and head unit from Millionbuy.com today. ~$450 and I paid overnight shipping...

Looks way more classy than the motorized 6.5" popping out of the headunit slot... video looks on par also.

Hope to have it installed by Saturday afternoon.

PS - I MADE $150 to do this switch since I sold the AVH for $600 shipped.

 

When its not playing a dvd it will show the title of the song on the cd and artist. If the screen is not being used it just shows a blue screen(ex. when using radio) The HU is playing my Bose speakers just fine. The kd-dv6200 is very user friendly and it has a usb port on the front of it for memory sticks or any other usb compatible device

Millionbuy.com has the JVC for $269 and the Farenheit (Actually its listed as Power Acoustik) screen for $129 I believe...

This headunit is ready for an ipod or with this headunit since it has a usb on the front you can hook the ipod up through the usb port

i think the only way to get a touch screen to select a song selection would be to run the screen off of a computer. It can not be done with this setup.

Just finished my install...

To my surprise, the JVC (6200 series?) that I got displays cd info (cd title, artist, track titles, lengths, etc.) on the LCD thus something is always displayed whether its dvd video, cd info, etc. It even works for burnt cds...

ya its quite awesome, the only time it doesnt show anything is when ur using the USB or radio.

so you cant scroll through your USB contents with the display on the screen?
i was kinda hoping you could see the files and folders on the screen......

 

Going through usb would probably drain the battery on your ipod I pressume? There is a ipod interface for the unit that charges it while in use. jvc ks-pd100.

 

would an american international dash kit look better on this setup? or would u lose that silver ring around the HU ?
or would itstay on and protrude out the dash....?
