IMHO, they look... OK. Not great, certainly many better looking ones out there, but not terrible.

EXIF info shows the camera being a Kodak P850. Silkk will fill in the rest.

gr is correct. P850 by Kodak. It's a 5mp point and shoot, 12x optical zoom, with some DSLR-ish capabilities including a a few custom modes and a full manual mode (including apperture, exposures, shutter speeds, and focus (with 25 different focus zones)... I got the camera for $300 so I can't really beat it. I am not 'qualified' enough to use a full $1000-2000 DSLR, so I figured I'd learn the basics on this...

I just started using the manual mode this weekend with some success, so those pics were actually taken with point and shoot mode using one of the 18preset 'scene' modes...

The sideshot isn't a night shot by the way. I took it at dusk (7pm) in a parking structure...

Thanks for the compliments. I'm going to have gr? shoot the car with his DSLR in a few weeks or so, so look for those. I'm expecting some amazing results from someone with his skills...

The new lens came in this morning

As far as the pics, to be honest, the image quality is damn good for a point & shoot. I thought they were from an SLR when I first looked at them. With additional post processing, those images would be on par with some consumer level DSLR images.

Gee thanks! Makes me feel even better about my purchase... I do use a little photoshop, but I'm not a master at post processing at all. Those pics posted here are not touched up at all... Do you know of any online resources for post-processing help? I'm satisfied with the images, but I'd love to take them to another level with post processing... Now I just do normal stuff like auto-color, add a little blue/yellow or whatever, maybe add some contrast, but nothing crazy...

So, the wide-angle came in today eh? We'll need to set up a shoot sometime soon. Speaking of wide-angle, you can pick up an accessory lens for this little Kodak for pretty cheap ($110 or so) that is .7x wide-angle. I plan on getting that soon and composing some even better shots.

I'll PM you soon to set something up.

http://members.aol.com/crhfoto/knowhowlist.htm

This site is a good place to start on learning how to post process. I'm still pretty basic as far as photoshop knowledge but I'm starting to practice on the more advanced features.

June 10th or 11th looks to be my first open date if you're available. We can hit each other through emails or PMs.
