Well, I didn't know if it was the newest version or not, is all.

How much did it cost? The website says like $38k base.... but are there a lot of options you can get, if any?

Let me try to clarify.

The SVT Cobra was produced in '99, '01, '03.

The first 2 years had a 320hp n/a 4V V8. About $29k

The '03 had 390hp, added a roots style blower with some stronger internals, and a revised suspension, along with new fascias, bumpers, and spoiler. Around $34k

The Cobra R was produced as an '00 model. Only 300 were ever made. The R had a 5.4l 4V V8 that produced 385hp. It was basically stripped down of all sound deadening, raido, a/c, and had numerous styling changes. Including what I'm guessing is the "mp3 spoiler" Only $55k

Yeah, very nice cobra... I love how fat those wheels are. We wanna see more pics!
And Dough Boy... I think with the new 03 Cobra, the block is an iron block so it can handle the boost better.

Thanks for the info! It'll be interesting to see what happens to the Cobra with the new model.

Yes, the 03 Cobra has an iron casting of the 4.6L block (which is aluminum in GTs, Bullitts, 99 and 01 Cobras, the Mach1 which is basically the same as the 01 Cobra)
