is it me.....or does that look like the worst place for guages? wouldn't that get in the way of your legs?? and....i would guess that the switch box moves so you can hold it when you are standing outside the car? that's what it looks like to me. if it's permanently there....same question....doesn't it get in the way??

I drive his car sometimes and the gauges really don't bother me or him. He's gonna move them when he thinks of a better spot to put them in. I'm just scared that one of us is gonna get in a car accident and it'll mess up our shins. other than that no prob.
The switch box does move BTW.

i can see a good place to put the guages. install them under the stereo. from the looks of that picture...he's just using that space below the stereo for "holding things". he could install it there and have it save you from cutting yourself up if you were to get in an accident (god forbit)...or even clear up some space under the dash. i'm sure those guages can come out of that aluninum casing...and put into another casing...and fit right in that empty spot. as for the switches...those can tuck under the seat when you are driving, right?

putting it underneath the deck will require some serious surgery. There is a ash tray, lighter plug, and two buttons for the heated seats. Plus that's where the dealership goes through to plug the car into for diagnostics.

What are those gauges for anyways? Does the driver need to constantly monitor those while hitting the switches?

Hmm.. well it sounds like that spot won't work. But he should find a new spot as quickly as possible! I wouldn't want to be a cripple!

What ever floats your boat but I ask the question too WHY!?

I would much rather be thrown back in my seat by a turbo or get SLIDEways around some corners than...bounce? I just don't get it.
I think it looks cool on the older cars, but is so very wrong on a performance car like the Z.

Actually, many of us with stock Z's get the bouncing free of charge on certain highways because of the great bounce dampening of the suspension

Mhhmm, tell me about it. I had a headache for the first week I drove the car. I'm used to driving a truck which didn't help prepare me much for the bouncy ride. Now I'm O.K. unless I'm driving with a hangover...that's a different story.

Excuse you, sorry my taste is too ghetto for you. Maybe this whole board is too ghetto for you, you should go stick your nose into a more refined one. I guess you don't know how to read very well, as I said in previous posts "to each his own."

Tah tah dahling. P.S. don't forget to raise that pinkie when you sip your tea.

Anyone have any Grey Poupon??

Coming from the Midwest I just don't understand the hydraulic car thing, though remembering it is a part of the Hispanic culture, I can see why it would be most popular in California.

Is the whole point to come up with a car you can enter in a show? I sorta remember seeing a hydraulic truck where the truck purposely split into pieces as the hydraulics extended and then went back together. What would be neat is someone to come up with a hydraulic car that transforms from a 350Z to the original 240Z!

Sweetie it has nothing to do with who's been here longer. The point is that I'm gonna do whatever the f***k I want with my Z, and if I want to post pics and videos of it I will. Keep dreamin' of a Z ,which you probably don't have anyway, and leave me alone. Is this ghetto enough for ya!!!

This thread is way to hostile for me!! Butterfly do what you want to to your Z. It is your car! I would rather have nitrous or a turbo! but whatever! I want to see the Z jacked up like a SUV. I think it would be funny, which is kinda the point! I say go for do what you do to make your car your own. I still ask why? but whatever good luck!
