No noise unless your right around Space Coast. The sonic boom on re-entry is what is amazingly loud.

Nice pics indeed!

I remember a couple of years ago when there was a launch at Kennedy (night launch), I was watching it on TV, and people outside are yelling at something, so I go out, and they saw the shuttle riding up the east coast. Just a red ball and orange flames behind it.
It was a pure site, but I didn't get out my camera in time.

in florida its comon to catch this view often, I lived in daytona and you can see it easily!!! the funny thing no one ever thought of this, but why does NASA always bring that B!tch back in the morning when your sleeping? when it comes back into earth it makes a loud *** BOOM and shakes everything like a earth quake! They always do this in the morning around 5-8am when your sleeping and it scares the **** out of you! One time my freind was with his girl and they were doing the deed since her parents were away from home and she lives in the second floor! the shuttle came back and made its usuall boom and he thought it was her parents coming home! he jumped out of the second story room and sprained his ancle on the landing! all while wearing boxers, lol

When I went to space camp they told me that if you're within 1/2 a mile of the space shuttle taking off, the pressure wave will make your heart burst lol
