Default Tein: S. Tech vs. H. Tech

2 questions:

Does anyone have pics of these two? I want to compare the ride height.

How's the ride of either one of these as compared to stock? I'm probably going to get a set before I get $$$ for the coils.

I have the S-Techs on my G35 and they suck compared to the Tanabe GF210s I just put on my girlfriend's 350Z. The Tanabes have a much more even drop and a much better ride.

They aren't bad springs, just not as good as the Tanabes. I think the Tanabes may be a tad cheaper too, but I don't really remember what I paid for the Tiens.

If ur gonna get tein springs get the S tech. Getting the H tech isnt even worth it seeing as how they barely have any drop. I have the S tech springs and I think they have a nice drop to them.

I have the S.Techs on my 06. I liked them at first but after they settled the front ended up being a little too low and rubbed when turning and going over a bump at a certain angle.. not often just enough to aggravate me.

whats your definition of good? tanabe's are progressive while with peak springrates near stock, which means performance suffers for a better ride quality. Tein H-techs on the other hand are linear and stiffer than stock, while S-techs are progressive in the front, and also stiffer than stock. So other than the amount of drop they provide, what makes them better?

Tanabe GF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1”/1.2” drop on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 336/375 (only peak rates are published, softer initial progressive rates unknown)
Stiffer then oem springs by F+7% R+10% (see note at very top)

Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1.2”/1.2” drop on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 314/353
Stiffer then oem springs by F+0 R+3%

Tein H-tech 350z linear springs .3”/.2” drop on 350Z G35 drop will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 358/375
Stiffer then oem springs by F+14% R+11%

Tein S-tech 350z (fronts are progressive, rears are linear) .7”/.6” drop on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in lbs 386/402 (final rates only, softer initial front progressive rate unknown)
Stiffer then oem by F+23% R+16%
