Default Seibon hood

Here are a few pics of my new Seibon TS hood... just a warning to everyone who have any type of plenum spacer is that the hood will not fit perfect because the strut bar is raised and the top of the manifold will rub... i still need to align it right...

Looks hideous... You should take it off and mail it to me for proper disposal.

BTW- Wanna sell me your stock hood?

wow that'a BIG gap where it meets the bumper...I think this is the first Seibon hood that I see that doesn't fit properly since it's first few batches...

Ya i know, i went Seibon Hq in cali and they pretty much told me that since i have a plenum spacer raised my strut bar is rubbing against its under frame and would fit perfect if i didnt have that spacer, im goin to try to put a couple of spacers on the bracket(of the hood)to raise it... im still trying to cover that gamp...

+1 From what I have seen. Seibon tends to have a pretty nasty gap there.

hm...I have a hard time believing that. If it's SUPPOSED to fit properly, and now it's rubbing on the strut bar, you shouldn't even be able to close the hood because the latch holds tight on the Seibon front hook...other seibon owners may know what I'm talking about.

i think what my problem is that my secondary latch is hooking but primary lacth isnt hooking so im going to have move the hood about 1 inch foward and raise it lil from the back to get a good angle to close it.

I see...it's a good idea to run with your hood pins then.

I think you can raise your factory latch up, with my G35 I lower the factory latch to get the hood lock as close to no gap. Try that first with the ratchet before you go to your route.

isnt that the vt hood?? anyways yea, i got a seibon ts hood and the 5/16 spacer. the only way it will close all the way down is if i put 5 washers where the bolts are and stick it on there drifter style. currently the hood is hangin out in my garage.

You could do some trimming, but the hood already has less structural support than the stock one. We are working with two of the TS ones right now getting them to fit correctly. Seibon claims OEM fitment. I say nay nay.
