I've done a lil bit of searching on the forums and off and i've come up with some questions to ask the Z members who have GT wings and track their car. Does height really matter? I know i read a post in regards to having the wing parallel to the roof lines of the car that its going on but i've seen several diff combo's on this thread. My original plan was to purchase a type 2 with 30mm extensions and a 1600mm wing. Would running a 1700mm wing with 275 stands be more efficient on a track car? Any input would be appreciated since once i buy it, i can't exactly return it. thanks!

Hmm....this is mainly for those using the 245mm stands, but how's rear window visibility? I know it seems like a dumb question to ask but I plan to street drive the Z on top of running in track events. If its as bad as my V3 spoiler, then I just might cough up extra for the 275mm stands with 30mm extensions. Also, which type is bettered suited for our cars, the 2 or the 3???

Depending on which angle you've set your wing as. 275 you should have no visibility issue, 245 you will have a bit of your rear window blocked with the wing fully maxed on angle.. FYI I am running 245 and used to run 275 before. Hope this helps

yes. height does matter for a rear wing. you want the wing to be inthe cleanest air flow w/o any turbulence to create the most effective down force. as far as the slope of the rear of the Z goes, roof line height should be ok.
as far as width goes, wider is better.... FYI Japan has a street regulation for how wide a wing can be, so alot of their street cars only have 1500MM widths. if you're club racing for time attack, i'd check the rule books on legal widths.. i would suggest a 1600 or 1700 width for the Z. the Type 3 has the highest downforce design (due to the 2nd element on the trailing edge) but then you will be speed limited to approx 160mph... the type 2 has less drag, and is primarily meant for higher speed tracks..
if i had to do it again, i probably would have gotten the 1600 Type 3 with the 275 stands... but dont forget, if you have high downforce in the rear, don't forget about the front!!
if you want a comparison between 1700 Type 5 vs 1500 type 3, here is a pict i took of my Evo X wing on top of my Z wing:
