So, I've been wanting to join the SBC for a while now. I really want to score a voltex wing sometime in the near future!

Thought I would share some wing pictures I had and the story that came with them. I was in the shop of my employer who used to run a car in the Rolex Grand Am Daytona Prototype class when I noticed this 6' wing hiding in the corner. I asked what the deal was and apparently it was backed into a fence accidentally and immediately replaced. They told me to take it if I wanted since it is useless to them.

And what it originally came off:

I think it will most likely become a shelf because the sheer size and the fact that it is straight rather than boomerang makes it look really strange on the back of a z. Not to mention the hassle of creating custom mounts.

Hopefully I'll join the SBC for real soon

You can buy mounts from voltex and im sure a machine shop can rig something up to make it work. You could also cut it to length and no one will know since the end caps would be flush against it.

tire setup actual is 275/40R17 front on enkei 17*9.5 +18, and 275/40R18 rear on enkei 18*10.5 +15
tires are nitto NT-01...
will be 275/35R18 on rims like rears as soon as I'll find the tires... now are in national backorder.

^nice, any deviations with the speedometer or was it within specs still? Seen the 18's and 19's and 20's deviations but not the 17 and 18 combo.

275/40R18 (where the speedometer reads) is pretty much the same rolling diameter of the 265/35R19 stock tires.
but I have gps telemetry onboard so that doesn't really matter on a road course.

I'd probably prefer something more like a tilton... but It's ok.
(I'd really like something VERY light for an HR engine...)
