almost bought that EXACT plate 10 months ago. it may have been downfrc as well.

 

I am FINALLY starting my install of my APR GT-300 wing and MCR canards on my nismo (due to a small rear end accident) and looking at the base plate of the APR stands...it seems like it'll cause some pretty nice dents at speed. My question is, is there anything anyone has done to help prevent this WHILE using an APR wing? I've seen the Voltex base plate that joins with the type 3 and even the standard stands on pretty big in spreading the stress out on the trunk. So i'm trying to get an answer to my issue of reinforcing the trunk while my car will be gone for the next 3 weeks but the sooner would be better. Appreciate it from a soon-to-be-SBC member

 

^^Chassis mount it, then you wont have to worry about denting anything

Its too late, already got the trunk resprayed and the APR wing mounted today, gonna go to the shop tomorrow to check it out and the MCR canard install.

Anyone interested? I still looking for what wing to use to bolt to the mount. Based on Ben Sopra GTR wing. Also wing I'm looking for needs to be atleast 1700mm I would like 1850 or even 2000. Anyone got suggestions?

Does anyone have measurement from the trunk lid to the roof line?
Im supposed to be picking up an APR GTC-300 in the next couple weeks but the stands arent tall enough for me and my car is an hour away in storage. Going to have a buddy cut me some custom ones.

 

You can order 2 inch extentions for them from APR. I highly suggest you call Tony at APR and talk to him about raising the wing.
