our friend gave us permission to strip down whatever we could take because it was only going to be taken away from the insurance and he also wanted us to sell whatever was still good from it cause here in hawaii there's a lot of desperate low ballers looking for spare parts

Your friend is just trying to make the best of a bad situation I guess.
I stand corrected.

OP-sorry to read about this, I dont know what Id do if I killed somebody

I agree with what everyone has to say here.. Why are you racing when you have a passenger? I hope the guy's not trying to "show off" to a female passenger. I hate to say this.. but the driver was the one who deserved to die.

Don't be a baby about it. There's nothing wrong with understanding the possible consequences of your actions. I never even stated how I feel about street racing, so don't jump to conclusions.

And if you killed someone, what'd you probably doing is spending some time in jail.

uh...street racing can hurt more than just the racer...if he slammed into another car and killed those people, it would've been much worse...he'd just put it in the street racing section to remind people that its a dangerous activity and this is what happens if you aren't careful, or even if you are careful you can end up dead...i love how you're always so quick to yell at people on here

Why would you post this in the street racing section then? ---> To "teach them" all a lesson or give people a reality check, thanks but thats not your job, its obvious how you feel about this after your first post. I know the consequences of my actions when I take them, just like the driver of the G did, he made a choice now he must live with it the rest of his life. Im done I wont turn this into a street racing debate, flame away....

You play, you pay! It's a chargeable accident to this kid. $500 deductible (?) plus an atfault on his record should raise his insurance nicely. Atleast a thousand a year (I hope). Sucks to be stupid.

Just reread that the passenger didn't make it! Aside from the loss to the family, I'm sure there is liability law suit in the works. If the vehicles in the parents name, look out!

it wasnt his fault in his first accident..as the article says "Investigators say the man who broadsided Jayppy Riveral in Waikiki three years ago was driving drunk. Prosecutors are awaiting Gae-Suk Kim's extradition so they can try him on negligent injury charge"...and i agree the second time was his fault because of speeding but there's nothing i can do i'm his friend...
