I'm thinking about powdercoating my wheels and I'm on the fence about how it looks. I've had the wheels for years though and they were used before I bought them. I have completely refinished the lips by hand but the spokes are looking a little worn and they need some work. I just wanted to get some opinions, once I go black I hear I can never go back!

If you don't care about the extra weight added to the wheels then go for it. The black looks very sharp.

 

They're 26lbs, I have track wheels too. I doubt I would feel the difference in the weight of the powder.

BTW, I already have Black and polished wheels...

 

Wow.. I'd go with the black look as long as you leave the lip chrome looking.

 

yah... i dunno... its just sorta getting a bit played out too much.. both looked very good anyways,.. but i choose to keep em silver

Silver all the way considering you already have a set of black rims that look very nice. Use the money for something else.

i like the contrast between black and silver. i say keep them the original way.

I prefer the all silver look, then again my taste in wheels is different from most. I like smooth lines, no little bolt thingies, and all one color.

Black wheels make the wheel look tiny, reminds me of a spare donut wheel.

 

Silver for sure. Looks way nicer and classier.

 

I'm starting to agree with that. I might change them one day but I believe for now they'll be staying silver. Thanks for all the opinions guys, they helped with my choice.
