Default My 350Z Photoshoot

I just got my 350Z back from the bodyshop who prepped, painted and installed my NISMO V2 replica front bumper, NISMO side-skirts and Carbon Ltd Seibon V1 CF rear wing. The shop that did the work was Exotic Customs, they are like the Unique Whips of West Chester, PA.

I am no professional photographer, but below are my before and after photoshoot pics. There was a professional photographer there that snapped a few pics of my car before it left Exotic Customs. It was nice that a professional photographer thought it was cool enough to ask if they could take a photoshoot of it, but I am not expecting it to show up in any magazines anytime soon. It was cool though...

PLEASE, I do not need my whole thread filled up with people who do not like my tribute to Corvette Racing at LeMans fender stripes. You are welcome to have that opinion, but bottom line, I like them and I don't want to hear it. I don't expect anyone to like them. I like them and that is all that matters.

Default Sparco Pro 2000 Track Seats

I installed these in December. I was able to shave a total of 34lbs (17 per side). What a PITA, but well worth it in the end (especially since I track my Z).

I track my Z, I am hoping that they will provide functional front downforce. The "tiger stripes" as you call them are something I did. $6 sheet of vinyl decal and a winter afternoon "bonding" time with my Z. Since my Z is LeMans Sunset, it is my tribute to Corvette Racing at LeMans. I don't expect anyone to like them and that's OK. I like them, I did them myself and that's all that matter to me.

NICE........now for Some Black rims.................and NISMO 380RS engine and you will be set.

I like the "tiger " stripes its adds more aggression to the look, kinda like air vents in the vendor.

Default Custom Ultimate Pedals

Got these custom made. Billet aluminum. Makes throttle blipping to match revs on downshifting a non-issue.

Yea, they are next on the list, but all things in time. All this work was more than I was thinking it would cost, but I had no clue. The guy Mike and Exotic Customs really worked with me to keep costs in check and did a very high-end job. I joked with him that his shop is the Unique Whips of West Chester, which is a small town that you would never expect such a high-end shop to be in.

I really like these wheels (Volk RE30's in black). https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/235341-volk-re30-s-are-here.html Or Time Attacks (but not sure about the red painted ring on the rim) or maybe some CCW Classics with black centers.

Definitely need some black rims now... Or even just powder the stock rays and space them out a bit...

the RE30s look good. you could always do the Rota "wannabe" Nismos in black.

But CCW classics in black would def be sick(and very dependable)

Actually powder coating the stock Rays is an excellent idea and I know a place that would do that for me. Dam! Why didn't I think of that? Only one problem, the previous owner used the "park-by-brail" method of parallel parking and curb-rashed the wheels.

So black wheels are next on the mod list, but I am already getting the "hairy" raised-eyebrowl look from the Mrs. with what I do so far, plus just trading in my old POS daily driver for a leftover new 2006 400hp GTO isn't helping my case much either.

But hopefully the stock Rays aren't totally out of place with the silver "Z" hamburger emblem on the front bumper, the silver door handles and the silver Nissan emblem on the back hatch.

No argument there with the CCW's. Only thing is the black center/spoke "mesh" is very busy and harder to just look in to see how much pad depth you have left. With the stock Rays it is easy to look in and see how much pad depth is left without removing the wheel. I am guessing the RE30's and Time Attacks wheels would be just as easy or easier than the CCW Classics. Which ever wheel I choose, it MUST be light weight for track application.

But I like all three of those wheels (I'll have to search and see the Rota "wannabe" NISMOs in black), but like everything else it will boil down to money and what is the best deal I can get on any of them when I'm ready.
