Do yourself a favor and just don't talk, you make no fu**ing sense at all, seriously you don't, I don't know how they roll in OHIO but I think you're the one who can't move on because the Silvia has been out of production for how long now? It's a hot car, but move on buddy

Hello,

The the OP: Gangsta wheels.

Although Matt (THE TECH) gets the most credit, IMO, in this thread for stating that they're the wrong wheels for the Z. Most likely they belong on a VIP style car, as they have a great deal of surface face area. Big ***** for rocking them on a Z though, so, big ups to the OP.

s15driftking: Lol man. While you're obviously entitled to your opinion, stating that silver is the new black is ignorant. I suppose you're going to change your tune when you view:

Which one of these again reminds you of a civic from the 90s?

Darren

I make a habit of tapping into trends, and I forsee silver and polished rims being the next cool things. Those Walds are on the "cusp" of a new trend, I figure. I looked at their site and they have those same wheels forged!!

Perhaps a different style of wheel. The main reason i dont like them is there is just too much face on the wheel....i just prefer a 5 spoke or 6 spoke look(TE37)...i think it gives the Z a more agressive stance..just my preference.

Trends come and go, i dont worry about whats hot in Cali now or whats going to be the new hot thing. I build my car for me, not to impress others.

the wheels are made in a 1 piece monoblock forged version, and made in the forged center 3 piece with a spun aluminum barrel... which tommi has...

meaning that the center has the integrity of every other 3 piece racing wheel, it just looks baller.

as for the reason behind the spun barrel, it will bend wayyyyyyyy before it will crack and separate, whereas a 1 piece forged wheel will withstand much more stress than a cast wheel... but will result in a crack or seperation eventually... people usually nominate a 3 piece wheel with a spun aluminum barrel to be more safe on "the track"... be that as it may, it is still not lighter than the 1 piece version, but still MUCH lighter than a cast same sized wheel

why is it ignorant? because its true, because then your point wouldnt make sense.... let me put it in a simpler manner...

black with a polished barrel is stagnant and redundant

silver, polished, and chrome wheels add a new vibrance to the scene...

its simple dude, black with a polished barrel is out, silver is in, take it for what its worth and accept it...

now, a 2 or three piece black wheel with a black matching barrel is the jazz!!! (jazz = cool, for all you old folks)

how about no.... but maybe i can change your mind...

see man, silver = clean

i have to agree with s15 on this, silver wheels are super dope. although i have black wheels w/ polished barrel myself, i have to admit they are getting played out.

The only reason why I went with black w/ polished lip is because i found some Fabulous wheels with hardcore offsets/width. Otherwise, it would be silver for me

Hello,

I love silver wheels too. But you're basically stating that, in no situation, in no combination, are black faced wheels valid. That's what's ignorant. It's simply not true. Your statement is dogmatic. The point is, that if the shoe fits, wear it (pun intended). Anyways, who are you to say that "silver is the new black, accept it.."? That's just retarded.

Darren.
