Nah, the Solara was sold 2 months ago. I really should take those pics down since some Z owners were ragging on me yesterday. But don't underestimate the Solara's guys. I'm surprised no one's raced a supercharged one yet...

Thanks for the link. I think I found the right answer in a quote from Johnny Knoxville:

"1. What is Gumball 3000?

Gumball is just like Cannonball Run, but without Dom Deluise."

Gotcha. =) Looks like a hoot.

Do you happen to ahve 16000 lying around, ready to spend on this trip? And the extra 10+ grand to pay for the tickets and impounding of your car down the line? This "trip" costs as much as a new Z...

Right, that's really YOUR Ferrari.....

Somebody find a link to that thread, just reading this one made me think of that one, and now I can't stop chuckling.

I thought its only about $10k to enter the race. Which includes hotels and such. Flight there and car is provided by person entering the race.

Axis any input here?

I don't get why people would do that to their exotics? God the cars got destroyed. I guess people have money too much money. It would be fun just as long as its not my car.

Well, according to another thread about this, the entry fee is 16k or somewhere around there. It was written in an article in a newspaper or something about how much it is to enter. I think last year's was 9k. I guess they keep upping the price.

the entry fee was 8000 british pound , which works out to be about $13,000.00 it include lodging, food and party. you would pay for your own gas, damages to your car and bail of course.

why own an exotic if you will not drive it?

cars are meant to be driven!

my F-1 transmission took a **** in Tucson, so I LIMPED the car home. the problems on the car is mimimal , however the parts are pricy $$$

Oh don't get me wrong I would drive one. Just like I drive my Z. I try to terrorize the streets everywhere I can. But to put 3000 miles in one go is a little much.

Then again if you have enough for a f360, 13 k to **** away on the entry fee, gas, misc. exp. Then you are doing better then me and putting 3000 on a car really is nothing.

Hopefully when I buy my first one I will have the same attitude.
